CENTRAL

Central is the Society's large OO layout. It represents a town on the edge of the Southern third rail electric system where electric trains terminate and only diesels continue down the line. Although Central is not a real location, its station building is very much in the style of Wimbledon.

The layout can be used on most club nights and a group of members are working to refurbish parts of the layout. Central is operated as a modern electrified layout, but steam, diesel and continental outline models have all shared running time.

The layout is currently being refurbished with members improving the track and refreshing the scenery.
